At Affinity 2020 CIC, we are passionate about creating meaningful pathways into employment—and today we are proud to celebrate the success of Courtney Stevenson, whose journey is a fantastic example of what can be achieved through dedication, resilience, and the right support.
Courtney successfully completed her Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship with Affinity 2020 CIC, achieving her qualification within an impressive 18-month period. Throughout her time with us, Courtney consistently demonstrated commitment to her learning, a strong work ethic, and a genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs.
A Valued Member of the Team
During her apprenticeship, Courtney quickly established herself as a valued and trusted member of the Affinity team. She brought a calm, caring approach to her work, building positive relationships with learners and colleagues alike. Her ability to adapt, learn quickly, and respond to the needs of students made her a real asset to our provision.
Courtney embraced every opportunity to develop her skills, applying her learning in real-world settings and showing a natural ability to support students in overcoming barriers to education. Her progression throughout the programme was a reflection of both her personal drive and her commitment to making a difference.
Progression into a Specialist Role
We are delighted to share that Courtney has now secured a permanent Level 3 Teaching Assistant position within a specialist school Multi-Academy Trust. This is a significant achievement and a testament to her hard work, professionalism, and the high standard she set during her apprenticeship.
Moving into a specialist setting, Courtney will continue to build on her skills, supporting pupils with complex needs and contributing to a nurturing, inclusive learning environment. We have no doubt that she will continue to thrive and positively impact the lives of the young people she works with.
A Pathway That Works
Courtney’s journey highlights the power of apprenticeships as a route into meaningful employment. By combining hands-on experience with structured learning, apprentices are able to develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to succeed in their chosen careers.
At Affinity 2020 CIC, we are committed to supporting young people like Courtney to realise their potential and progress into sustainable, rewarding roles.
Looking Ahead
We are incredibly proud of everything Courtney has achieved and grateful for the contribution she made during her time with us. She represents everything we stand for—commitment, growth, and creating opportunities that change lives.
We look forward to seeing her continue to flourish in her new role and wish her every success for the future.
