We know water safety is key knowledge that needs to be developed for young people. In partnership with Wickersley Partnership Trust, funded by the Guiding Light Foundation, Affinity was able to offer a day at Ulley learning about water safety whilst completing some really fun activities in boats, canoes, and kayaks. We hosted 25 young people for the day, we had so much fun in the sun.
A Pilot Study of the Use of Visual Thinking Practice with Care Experienced Young people.
This Data Poverty Lab Fellowship was undertaken by the author, (Dr Becky Parry) with Charlie Elliott and young people from Affinity 2020 for a period of six months in 2022. The research, funded by Good Things Foundation and Nominet, aimed to find out how care experienced young people were impacted by data poverty when trying to access creative or arts opportunities.
